Shenette Howard, Miss Florida International 2006, born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida, is a first generation college graduate. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management with a Minor in Marketing from the University of Central Florida. At twenty-four years old she is passionate about sharing her lifestyle of purity. As a virgin she has made a conscious decision to expose youth to the truth about sex, drugs, alcohol, and unhealthy relationships.

She is currently an abstinence educator at Project SOS of Jacksonville, Florida where she has been afforded the opportunity to speak to over 50,000 teenagers about making healthy lifestyle decisions. Shenette has spoken before the Duval County Legislative Delegation and the Florida Department of Education urging them to continue funding in abstinence education programs throughout Florida. Additionally, she was a guest speaker on tour with the 2006 Great To Wait conferences throughout Florida speaking to teenagers and their parents about the importance of abstinence accountability.

In addition to being a national speaker she has a passion for the performing arts.  Shenette is a dance choreographer who received a full performing arts scholarship in dance to Florida Community College. She has participated in intensive dance programs at the University of Florida. She has opened up in dance for gospel greats such as CeCe Winans and Israel Houghton. She recently completed a tour in Spain.  She is currently the Assistant Dance Choreographer for The Potter’s House Dance Ministry and has entrepreneurial goals to own a performing arts center.

Shenette is multi-talented as a professional dancer, poet, singer and motivational speaker. She uses each of these talents to steer young people down the path of selflove and self-control. Ultimately, she teaches them that their lives are precious and that lust is the counterfeit of true love.
